Hey guys, I've just recently decided to create an account on these boards. Me and my brother been huge fans of this site for years. I have a track that I've made but I don't have anyone to tell me if they are decent or not. So I'll post them here. Comments and critique are very welcome. =) I let one of my friends listen to it and he said that it's sort of like EBM. Although I believe that this is more of a trance/house forum, I would still like some of your opinions on this track. The first synth is by Toby, everything else is by me.

Not bad at all. However, i think you need more of a track, 2:50 is kind of quick, then again, this isnt exactly my style of music (although it does kind of has a Juno Reactor flavor to it). Maybe some more work with the percussion too. A riff like that would sound better with some HUGE drums IMO. maybe not throughout the whole song, but just for a climax. Also, some overall eq work. Very ambient though, i like your choice of samples and effects.

how long have you been at this and what did you use to produce it?

I've been doing this very casually for about 3 years, I guess. I've actually used Fruity Loops 3 to make that track. It's a very robust piece of software.

This isn't the type of music I usually make. I'm more into hardcore and trancecore, I was just a bit under the influence when I made that track. =P

i hear ya!

ive done some pretty outside-the-lines stuff being slightly (or rather, heavily) altered. sometimes thats when your creativity shines though, you know? ive taken some of that stuff ive done and kind of remixed it to fit my normal tastes. sometimes, it dont work. but when it does, thats when you turn some heads my friend.

anyways, keep up the good work, i'd love to hear more. and welcome to TA!
