Any HAMILTON TAs in here? I fell like I should get acquainted with them. Going there next year (Mac U.)

How's the party scene? You get PvD often? Any info regarding the city will be greatly appreciated. What's the most popular pass-time in there?

See you in September!

p.s. Cow Tipping anybody? ...count me in!

There's a few of us in the Hamilton. That's cool that you're going to MAC, I just graduated from there!! Great school, but believe me...there is little to no scene in Hamilton for trance, but if you like other sorts of Electronic Music, there is a thriving underground scene. You see, I never really got into it (hamilton's scene) because the MAC student body (I assume the same for a lot of universities outside TO) is not really into trance/techno/house. There's the usual campus bars and the local places that people go to party on a weekend or whatever...but they pretty much suck. Especially the music, and often the attitude. Numerous times I've tried to organize nights out to some of the Hamilton clubs (with friends) to check out djs and whatnot to no avail because people just like to go the same old place to stare at the same old dirties, talk the same old shit, and listen to eminem and 50cent - in the club over, and over, and over again.

As for the scene in Hamilton, I just went to Dr.Disc the other day (pretty much the only vinyl shop in Hamilton) to check out some music and see what was going on and I must say, if you like Breaks you've come to the right place...there are lots of breakbeat parties. I saw another flyer for Future fridays at a club called "sky69" and there's djs spinning German Trance, UK Hardhouse, and Hardtrance (Djs Chiclet, Ken Finch, and Lady Bass). Deko-ze often spins on Fidays, along with other House DJs at the "Rude Lounge." As for big international djs, they will most likely stick to TOronto, but one noteworthy appearance was Aphrodite (the DnB master from the UK) came and spun in a small club. The Copper Lounge, F@ and the Casbah are clubs that cater to the scene aswell. 99.99% of Mac students will never venture to these places the reasons I mentioned earlier.

I'll be around hamilton next year as I will be working there...so feel free to pm or contact somehow me if you're interested in checking out any parties! Let's help keep the scene alive, there's so much potential here!

Drew
