Satan (eek!) 2 Major Questions... PLEASE HELP!

1) I want to record myself onto my computer. What kind of cord do I buy to connect my (Pioneer djm-500) mixer to my computer and where exactly do I go from my mixer to my computer?

2) I keep blowing my home speakers (2 sets already) Where and what kind of dj speakers can i buy for house use only? I do like to play loud, but not sure how to approach buying speakers for my home...

THANKS FOR ANY INFO AND HELP!

you need a mini to rca splitter [Y cable] usually a stereo male mini to two rca mono males will do the trick...just stick it into your input.

if youre blowing your speakers get other speakers that handle about 1.5 to twice the power of your amp... the more sensitive they are the louder they will be [shoot for above 90db sensitivity] for the home i woudl recomend a hifi type of setup or studio/reference monitors. you may also consider getting a sub.

i think this topic has been covered before if you use the search button or jsut go down throught the next couple of pages...or if those dont answer anything then start with what kind of setup you have, what kind of amp you have, how large your room is...etc

i have an old school home speaker system that has an amp in it. I'm not sure how much it pushes. I want to buy like some PA speakers or something , u know the ones they sell at any dj MART online store for a couple hundred. But will the Amp from my home entertainment center push it? Do i need a separate amp?
