Synth help
I'm trying to figure out to make osme cheesy/mainstream trance leads (milk inc, lasgo, ian van dahl, dj encore, etc). Everything I make sounds like flutlicht or is a supersaw or something that sounds really hard or its really soft similar to tiesto, ferry style leads. If anyone knows how to make sounds like this. I heard that I need to buy a virus. Never used one b4 so I can't comment on how they sound.
What are you using at the moment? Those cheesy leads are normally a cross between a saw and square/pulse waveform. Just make sure you use the higher keys to increase cheasiness.

At samplecity www.samplecity.net there is bigh thread "how to get that supersaw synth" with softsynths. Perhaps you can find more infos there...generally a good site for productions infos...

Mostly Pro-53, Vaz 2010, & Z3ta+...
I've had some success with the vaz & pro-53 and using reverb on it.
I just got the V-Station and some of the presets were what I was looking for. Also I made some sounds and noticed I'm able to make some cheesy sounds out of it. The onboard effects really helped.

u mite also want to use eq of a kind, flanger, delay, filter, etc.
I see it as a big tweaking of the cut and resonance limits used during the track. the EQ and flange fx are also factors of the cheesier synths.
higher resonance and higher cut limits will push the synth to be beepier, and a little more cheesy.
