It all started for me when I was in the womb. Daddy put some headphones on Mom's stomach and played Eric Clapton for me.
As far as creating music is concerned, the whole story is in my bio on my website, http://www.rachelrossos.com.
Listening... well, my tastes are all over the place and always have been. Mom and Dad raised me on classic rock, but I also listened to the likes of Madonna, Wilson Phillips, and The Party (that group from the Micky Mouse Club... do any of you remember them??) when I was growing up. One of my mixed tapes from when I was about, hm, 6 or 7 years old, starts with Peter Frampton's "Show Me The Way", followed by "Little Bunny Foo Foo", then The Party's "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend." Heehee. And then my voice! I wanted to be a radio DJ back then.
In 1994 or 1995 I started listening to the radio and CDs, fell in love with Ace of Base, Real McCoy, and La Bouche... a couple years later I discovered Scooter and fell in love with them too. I was such a eurodance girl. High school it's all I listened to, except when I was discovering Tori Amos, Suzanne Vega, Dar Williams, the Indigo Girls, and Ani DiFranco. And actually, I listened to a lot of showtunes then too. Trance started to take over my music collection when eurodance strayed too much towards pop in the late 90's... and now I'm addicted.
That's the short version.

Well, I started getting into music when 3 or so. My dad used to play Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and from the very beginning I liked the sound of guitars and then got more into them when I found out what they were Then when I was around 5 I used to take broomsticks and "play guitar" with them, to Classic Rock (my biggest wish was to own a guitar). Later, when I was 14 I got a guitar and since then I can't stop playing it every day. EDM, I heard the first time like around 1992, with DJ Bobo, hehe I used to love that guy After learning how to play guitar I tought myself how to play bass, and different styles of music, such as Classical, Flamenco, Prog. Rock. Now, I'm addicted to trance, and NEED turntables
That's a short version of the story

i guess it started for me when i was about 5 when i started dancing. i was trained in classical ballet checchetti method. i moved on to jazz, tap, modern, lyrical, and of course company dancing....when your little that is a big deal.....music plays such a big part for any form of dance.....in modern we would practice pieces just using our breathe (you listen to everyone else's to keep in time) and you would hear the music in your head...pretty crazy,,huh anyway, i also played insturments starting in 3rd grade...i played the clarinet and was very good at it so when i was in high school band i switched to brass because they figured i would pick it up pretty quick...i learned how to play the melaphone, french horn, and trumpet...i guess you can say that i am musically inclined...but i can't sing if my life depended on it
i didn't really listen to any particulare music when i was young except madonna....she still owns me! when i was in high school i listened to a lot of the cure, depeche mode, radiohead-who still owns me now-and of course madonna.
my senior year i discovered "the club life"...i went to my first party and it was over......i graduated from high school in 96' and the
summer was spent going from party to party actually with BigBlue..i have taken breaks from "going out" but the music never died. I have been listening to electronic music ever since...and it just keeps getting better and better.....especially trance!
that is a shortened version....
