dude its an old trick that u can find in any magic book at ur local book store..basically they use a thimble and rubber band combination and the thing gets sucked up their sleeve...ull notice they always wear full-sleeves

LMAo...dunno bout everywhere else, but Fox (the television station) aired about 5 of these shows that showed all the big tricks and how they were done...this was one of em...lol...LordTranceaLaut explains it well...try it like that...if it doesnt werk...go look in a book

i still don't get those "make an airplane disappear" tricks. i know they're just messing with our visual perception and what-not, but still..

those things r usually aired for television...so ure basically seeing a lot of accomplices of the magician around ..and the accomplices also have to be great actoirs to make the trick n the supridse look believable...i saw one where they made a truck kept inside a cage disappear..

basically they covered the whole thing in white and ppl surrounded the truck on all sides to ensure that it wudnt slip past them hhehehehe.

anyway when u learn the secret...not only does the fascination die but more than that u feel how stupidly simple the whole method to deceive the audience was...so in the case of this trick..what they didnt tell u was once the curtains came down..the truck drove backwards into the backstage...and mechanics whod been hiding in diff parts of the truck came out and resoldered the hole in the cage through which the truck disappeared...so voila the curtains were let up and aacracadabra the truck had vanished...

why didnt u hear the mechanics working away or even the truck driing out....coz ure seeing it on television

He doesn't. The trick involves two parts

1. He makes himself appear to be levitating (to the people on the street) by doing this clever thing where he balances on the heal of one foot and brings the front of that foot up at the same time as raising all of the other foot. The combination of the fully-raised foot and the front of the partially raised foot hide his heal.

2. They then go away and dress a couple of insiders in similar pants to the people on the street, and film him being lifted off the ground with the imposters legs also in shot.

The whole lot is editted together and bob's you uncle.

i remember when i was little, like 9 or summin, i was out at park playing with marbles and shit like that and this kids dad came over and plonked his kid with me and my marbles, then he got one of my marbles and did some magic with it, it was cool, he like rolled up his sleeves and said that it was real magic and crap like that, i wasnt really listening since i just wanted my marble back, then he made it dissapear by clenching it in his fist, then it was in his other fist and i was like wtf...how the bloody hell did he do that?

all he said was, its magic
