any millitary experience?
Hey out there. I have often seen a lot of threads about school, colleges, etc... but anyone out here in any form of millitary? or grew up with it (i.e. parents were in it)? personally, i'm in Air Force ROTC as well as in school. so when i graduate from ISU, i'll be a 2nd lt. in the Air Force. just curious if anyone else took a millitary way.

Well I kind of grew up from a military background ... I was a dip brat (parents worked for state department), moved around every 3 years, and was placed in DoD (department of defense) schools when we were stationed overceas. Are you looking to be a pilot, or a member of the air crew?

My grandfather was the commander of the partizan mountaneering artillery division in central Bosnia during WW2.
On the other hand, my dad fled to the US as soon as the war broke out here in 1991.

My dad was a LTC. in the army,so we moved around a lot. My brother was a ranger and my other brother was also in the army. I don't really want to go that route,it will be a last resort thing for me.

I would never consider myself a military guy cuz i dont have the right but here goes:
4 years of NJROTC in hs, when i got to college, i got myself in ROTC at Virginia Tech and was also in the military academy there called Corps of Cadets. Sorta like Virginia Military Institute but a lot smaller. Since my engineering classes didnt mix well with daily physical training early in the morning, i finished my first year, got my rank as an upperclassmen, and got the fack out.
Rejoining the military after college hasnt escaped my mind yet. Its a great way to experience the coolest things in life and youll have the best stories to tell your kids.
