eradication of speed bumps

Aparently, somewhere in London, Bath i think, is getting rid of all speed bumps, hopefully within 5 years!

I hope this comes a national thing!

Barnet is the place they are doing them - Bath is over near bristol.

opefuly they will get rid of them here also!

They're going to put a speed bump right outside my house. It's not the one that's a simple bump across the whole road, they cover half of the road so both cars must go through one side. In other words there's gonna be a massive clog up of traffic right outside my front door

i think it was sheffield where the bus drivers were trying to get rid of them, or lower the numbers as they were all getting back and neck trouble from having to go over these speed bumps all day..

ye speed bumps are effective for slowing down traffic but i think some places go a bit over the top.. there are places where there are roughly 8 in 200 yards of road which IMO is daft

then theres ambulances to think of too

Most cars who fly down residential areas do it in stolen cars! When they go over speed bumps they just wreck a car even more until it cant be used any more!
It is true that it does slow down traffic, but if you have to go to and from work everytime one way, and have go go over these shitty bumps, which are very uncomfortable btw in a shite car, then they are going to ennoy you!
Just a shame that there are boy races out there who like to "fly" down these residential areas. Instead of money being used to put them down, it could be used on more benificial things, LIKE PUBLIC TRANSPORT! lol

they are loud as fuck aswell mate, say bye bye to sleeping. it was on the news that some guy took a jackhammer to one outside his house and then was forced to pay to have it put back in by the council lol, unlucky or what.

also they are stickin in more rather than taking them out, there is a street bout a half mile from me in the village where one of them remains unpainted, the street is 30 mph, you can guess the damage that happens. personally the worst ive seen is somebody scrape their front bumper really bad from not knowin 2 slow down.

edit: lol just remembered, they can totally put the tracking out on your car, just like them little yellow raised rumble strips of which there is also no neeeed

Where I live they are putting more and more up all the time not taking them away. It's obviously different for different areas.
