I think so. The 6 ins are nice. This way you can use your subouts optimally. What I mean by that is in my case, I have 1 subout going into my 2 in audiophile. So, when I record to hard disk all of the audio is sent on the one channel creating one audio track. In your case, you will have more than one subout sending to several different inputs creating several audio tracks. The obvious benefits are you can process each track seperately (setting levels, effects, compressors, whatever).
Mulitple outs on your soundcard aren't as important in your case but would still be useful (processing soft synths with hardware effects and other reasons).
That Emagic will do the trick. I don't know how much they are, but just to let you know, the respectable M-Audio Delta 1010 is going for around $320.00 on Ebay. It is 8 in / 8 out if you don't count the spdif connectors. The DACs are great and it isn't USB (which from what I've read is a slight advantage.
