Exclamation Kompulsor - Energy Theme

I'm proud to present to you my new work:
Kompulsor - Energy Theme (7:40)

(now updated with better (?) intro)

Additional production + vocal by my coworkers.
This is a hands-in-the-air hard track with a catchy melody and energy in the good ol' cheesy Hamburg style of DJ Dean (especially his "Barbarez" projects) and TTF, so it's a little different from my previous track, with a "deep" melody

Enjoy, and let me know your comments!

Thumbs up Pretty good! I can see this on a DJ Dean Mix CD! TRUST ME!!!

Wow...this took me back to 99/00, cuz I used to listen to the DJ Dean Series then. Well, my taste changed as I got deeper into Trance, but you know something man - this production is pretty good! I have to give you a BIG thumbs up for this.

I'd say, that I'm 100% Sure this can be on a DJ Dean Mix - you fixed your drumming, your snares/synths, and leaders are better. Although you say you like this style of trance, which I did like in the past (and pretty much tolerant to it)

Hmm...at first I listened to Dean, then got into George Acosta's early mix CD's. George Acosta spinned a different flavor of Hard Trance, with more Scott Project sounds, and Cosmic Gate rhythms. See, I can vibe with that style of Hard Trance - or even Flutlicht, and Shokk, who were absolutely incredible in 2001/02. (And I hear they used Fruityloops too!)

Well Eugene - I'll be honest, like I prolly said in another post, I never really liked your music in the beginning, but your stuff is starting to shape up to sound more pro-ish.

I can't wait to see how your stuff sounds in a year from now, cuz your progression was SUPER fast! Not only that, you had the determination to post songs, one after another, after another, and so on - with that kinda production skills, I wonder if you have an assembly line, for your work to come out in!

Keep it up man! -Mental

thanks a lot, tranzMental!

I try to work a little on my music every day (usually in the evenings & on weekends because I got a full-time job), and I also listen to a lot of CDs, so I guess that's the key to progress!

That, and the fact that I recently got a professional Trance Samples CD.

Trance Samples? Does that also include 'Synth Sample Leads', and such?

That's cool man - but always remember this - it's also fun, AND challenging making your own synth sounds from scratch!

Keep it up man. Just be creative, and keep on producing! -Mental

i think this track sounds kinda flat. there is very little reverb or delay etc. i think effects are definitely in order. nice work with that singing lady. This definitely has the old school elements. nice work, i say. (i like the kick!, though it could be a little fatter )

im with nico for the flat impression in the intro, i think u should add fx + drums. The break with the vocals is really great!!! im not too found of the synth u used for the main lead that is very eurodancy (but thats what u are doing so no problem).
well i think that "analyse this" is really stronger than this one.
u should follow that way

Cheers,
Marco

Guys, I agree 100% with your criticism of the intro, it sounded flat to me too, I'm improving it right now, and hope to get something better there very soon!

Yep, the intro does sound kinda crappy imo. But then, there's the break, which was amazing.. excellent use of vocals. I'm not a huge fan of the cheesey style melodies, but I can netherless appreciate it's catchiness. good work, the speed at which you've improved is rather impressive

nic, Marco.V, S2K - I made slight changes to the intro, so I think it now sounds better! The download link is the same!

(And the track has been sent to Nils Karsten [DJ Megara] )

Like I said Eugene - I'm 100% sure, that some of your songs can, or will be added in DJ Dean's CD Selection. I haven't checked, but what number is the 'Tunnel Trance' Series now? LOL! I stopped listenin at # 19! HAH!

Those were the good ol' days - Ahhh, but you seriously have that 'cheesey' but catchy sound, which is exactly what I used to listen to when I first got into trance. Robert Miles got me into it at 96, and artists like Sasha, Ferry, Digweed, Push, and Cygnus X (and old PVD!) got me even more hooked in 2000!

Keep it up. I'm gonna watch you. BTW, do you know how to do some of the Cosmic Gate techniques? Just curious. Later.

tranzMental - TTF is now at Vol. 25!

Not sure which Cosmic Gate technique you're referring to.
If you mean a kind of a supersaw, that shouldn't be too hard in a synth like Zeta (which I have BTW )
