Daemon tools/Nero help requested

Now, my problem is: ive just gotten vice-city for pc, im sort of halfway through the game, and one of my pals wants to borrow it... sure, there no problem wit that, except for that a few times before, ive gotten the discs back all screwed up, or not at all...

i use daemon tools regularly to backup CDs, but now that ive switched to NERO, i have no goddamn idea of how to create an image of the disc... a little tutorial would be handy, any cunning TAs out there? hell id give ya the image if u like after...

Open Nero, you want to create a CD Copy ( if you're copying a cd), under image, de-select "Delete image after CD copy" (again, if you want to keep the image file on your hard-drive).
Otherwise, under copy options, de-select "copy on the fly", and apart from that, there should be no problems - click on Copy and copy away...

wont work.

basically it's gonna be a copyrighted cd, if you wanted to copy it you have to do a 1:1 copy (or 1:image copy), nero copies cd's some cock-eye'd way. The only way you're gonna be able to do it is to get a program that copies it in a way that the data isn't read (ie - it copies it 'RAW'). Best proggies for this are isobuster and clonecd..

clonecd is the muts nuts, it also acts as a virtual image mounting device like daemon.

obviously I cant condone copying stuff, it's not right *cough* pmmeifyouneedahand *cough*

What you can do is use this WinISO to make an ISO copy of the file and then burn the image on Nero.

like my mate above, I don't condone using any warez *cough* pmmeandi'llgiveyoutheprogram *cough*

Good luck

Oops.... i was under the assumption he was copying an already copied cd, off an image or whatever....
If thats the case, then yes, use clone cd, its probably the best thing around for doing that.. try HERE if you need help on the specific game..
Failing that, install the game on your friends computer, then install a no-cd so he/she can play it without a cd...

yeh, that's a good suggestion.. www.gamecopyworld.com
cracks are just reg entries or modded exe's, so if you're handy with regedit, export the key and import it on his computer.

note - clonecd does tend to take it's time copying copyrighted games - the 1st few sectors of the track are where the copyright data shit is normally stored, so it'll take ages to complete the 1st 10% or so.

good luck
