some guy i know wants to sell me a pair of gemini cdj 1200's for about a $1000 canadian... used.. bout 6months..

Ur opinions please on wether its better than the pioneer cdj100 or if the gemini is a good piece of hardware..
I've looked on gemini's website for information on the product but cant...
so please help me out...

i don't know that much, but i would go with the technics sl 1200 mk 2 since they are the best in the world, u should pm some peeps who know more bout it

i know.. but im set on buyin cd cuz of the cost factor of buyin all those vinyls when i have an archive of thousands of songs and a burner to add.. hehe...

Yeah the CDJ-1000 is all nice and good, but the list price is $1299, and I doubt that anyone would be selling it under $1000 right now.
WAY too expensive ... for that money you could get two CDJ-100s and a mixer ...

Umm and btw. Timewarp the Gemini CDJ-1200 go for US$189 (which is about $300 Canadian) on hollywoodj.com so you might be getting ripped off.

If you're looking for a decent low-budget CD deck, get the Gemini CDJ-20 ... otherwise the Pioneer decks (100 and 500) are the ones to get.

Another thing, I hope you won't be playing burned (mp3) CDs in public ... pay for the music you're playing.
