Can't get a single transition

Fucking dammit. Tried to record AGAIN today(this is probably the 7th time I've tried to record), and I fail again.
It's weird...everytime I spin for fun, I get the transitions right...beats are on, phrases are perfectly lines up, and EQing is just right. But when I try to spin the same set again, I LAWYS fuck up on one transition, and the rest don't sound too perfect either...something is always wrong with my mixes...either the beats slide and trainwreck(thanks to my fucking 1200s...the pitch flutters alot, so I always have to constantly adjust the BPM WHILE I'm transitioning, which is nearly impossible to do), or I miss a beat that I'm cued on, therefore, I miss a whole phrase.

What the fuck...will I ever get a mix properly recorded? It's so fucking tedious to spend another hour on the same exact god damn fucking set. Not to mention that it's not the "professional" things that I fuck up on, but rather it's the mere skill of beatmatching....every single one of my fucking transitions trainwreck...some bad, some very minimal but you can still hear em, and you DJs know...even a slight slip in beat is about as conspicous as the sun in the fucking dark.
Such a basic skill, yet I still can't get it. Does anybody else still have trouble beatmatching even after spinning for 2 years?

honestly, what I do is just drink a beer or two to totally relax me. When you're recording, you're trying TOO hard to make everything perfect, and not having the fun that you normally do. A few beers will take that edge off and you can relax, instead of frantically trying to make everythign perfect, just because the 'record' light is on.

1) get into the habit of recording everytime you switch on your decks

2) relax, drinking a few beers is a good idea

1200's shouldnt have any pitch flutter???

Just record every time, even when you're doing it for fun (which should be always). When it turns out to be a great set you won't have to do it all over again (and screw up)

well ive only just started mixing trance after listing to it for quite some time and most my mixes suck. what is trainwrecking? im finding it really hard to use the eq's during the mix. expecialy the bass change overs, whenever i do it it always sounds so obvious. i havent really got enuf records to do a massive set with yet anyway. never mind. three will turn up on my doorstep tomorow morning keep practising.

Trainwrecking is when your beats are off (the sound of a train driving over the rails - dumdum dumum dumdum). If you just started then you should focus on beatmatching once you can do that reasonably good, you can start focussing on the eq's and track selection.

i think its more like learning a language, each area will improve seperately but only to a certain extent and then you have to bring the other areas up to par and so on a so forth...so just keep on fiddling and sub consciously you will focus on certain areas and understand things but dont just focus on one thing in particular becasue from my experience its focusing that makes you fuck up.

that used to happen to me when i tried to record.

what happened was that when I planned to record etc I would fuck up, but when I would just be like enh why not record for a bit, i did really well.

don't stress yourself, do some drugs if thats your thing, or drink some beers....
