Be Cool! Adaptation

Just got done watching this movie about an hour ago. I had no idea what it was about, I just picked it up at my local video rental place and decided I'd give it a shot. Some of the best movies I've seen are movies that I had no idea what they were about. This movie was insane, well written, plot driven, character development was top notch. Very good movie. I don't really know how to review it. You really have to see it for yourself. Nicholas Cage put on a good performance and so did Nicholas Cage Check it out, really good flick: 5/5

I just saw it last nite, and I thought it was great. If you like Being John Malkovich than you'll love this. Typical Charlie Kaufman film. Just wierd dark humor kinda stuff.

Argh adaptation awesome movie i saw this on the cinema late last year..... Chris Cooper was great and so was Nicolas cage as the struggling screenwriter.

Very quirky movie indeed, and intelligent without being pretentious.

Good flick. Chris Cooper definitely earned that Oscar. Great character development! Never thought I'd say that about a movie centered around flowers.

i was supposed to see this film when it was out, but never did. just watched it last night, actually.

i wasnt terribly impressed. i dont know, maybe i expected too much. i understood how it was getting at what he first said in the beginning (i dont want this to turn into a thriller/drug movie etc), but in general, i dont know. i just didnt think there was anything exceptional about it which would make me say "wow!" and want to recommend it to friends.

I thought the idea of showing a film that is basically all about its own creation (but being self-ironic at the same time) was pretty mindblowing and original. It's very well made and Nicolas Cage proves why he's one of Hollywood's best at the moment

I don't know if I'd call Nicholas Cage a good actor. He was just well casted for the role of a bumbling, incoherent, wannabe director. He did a fantastic job of playing his own identical twin though!

Alot of people think Nic. Cage is not so good of an actor because his been pimped by John Woo, and Bruckheimer way too many times..But if you look at his earlier work you'll see that he indeed is a good actor;

*Leaving Las Vegas
*Red Rock West
*Birdy
*Raising Arizona

perhaps it was just poor script selection on his part as he whored himself out to Hollywood.

Captain Corelli's Mandolin
Snake Eyes
City of Angels
Guarding Tess...

But he was great in Fast Times!

i'd have to agree with 'so this' on this one, i didn't think it was antyhing spectacular either... and besides, i can't stand nicholas cage as an actor at all, i dunno if its his acting or just the roles that hes casted for, but he sucks!

The fact that I was no longer pissed about the 12-dollar CDN ticket price after watching this film (when it was still in theatres), must say a lot about what I thought about it.
