Exclamation Help help help!!!!! (vinyl & water)

Oh my god, I just got back from a couple week trip to Houston. Before I left I had jsut moved, and had left my vinyl in the garage. Well I just got my tables set up, and was spinning for a bit, when I noticed that when I took out some vinyl it had something weird on it. Well I looked inside the bin I've got fvinyl in, and I noticed a bunch of the bottom of my sleeves were soaked. So while I wsa gone water must've come in through the roof and landed on them. Now I need to know how to get this mildew off of like 20-30 vinyl, if I can even get it off. Help help help

omfg... sounds to me like those 20-30 vinyls are gone for good.

If that mildew has eaten into the vinyls already, the beginnings of all those tracks are dead gone. If I were you I'd rush to get those soaked in a non-abrasive cleaning agent, diluted in water. first just dip them, then wipe & dry.

THere may be better way of doing this, so don't go too quick into what I suggested.

damn man, I feel sorry for you.

"RIP - various vinyls"

My post won't help you much at all. But I never leave mine anywhere that has the potential to get hot or where they could be remotely damaged...when we moved into town a few weeks ago, we had a friend who rented a moving van and helped us move. I was a major ass about how/where my vinyls were placed in the van. But I suppose it pays to be that anal about vinyl... I took my mixer and TTs in the car with me.

Sorry to hear that some of your favs have been eaten by mildew Thats a horrible feeling.
