Need to Vent

no one has to read this, or reply. i'm just frustrated and not sure how to express myself. enjoy.

Why is it that it's so hard to have nice things without having to worry your ass off about their safety?

I've spent 3 years slowly building a car stereo system, and spending ~ 4000 in total.

this morning i woke up at 6 for work, went to my car at 6:30 to notice my hood open ajar. and thought, fuck.

so immediately went to the trunk, sure enough my 2 amps, and box with sub were missing.

i went back inside the house and told my parents, kinda in shock i forgot to check the deck and credit cards, drivers license, blabla

so i went to the drivers door only to see that the window was on the ground next to the door.

yeah my deck was ripped out, trim around the deck snapped so thats gotta be fixed.

the internal speakers which were also aftermarket were left intact and that's valued @ $1500 Canadian.

so here's my list of damages

Kicker ZR 120 Amp (230 Watt) - $377
Kenwood Excelon Deck KDC-X659 - $488
JL Audio 300/4 (4-channel amp) - $650
Eclipse 12" Sub 88120 - $400

my box was built by my friend and cost me around 50 bucks in material

ok, here's weird thing. someone who knows me, and knows what i have got this shit ripped off.

My credit cards, driver's license, health card, ESSo extra card, and bank card were left ini the car..

same with 2 pairs of diesel jeans ($200) bucks each.
2 55 DSL shirts around 40 bucks each

pair of diesel dress shoes, 80 bucks
pair of diesel sandals, 90 bucks
pair of gravis sandals, 70 bucks

so... if your gonna break into a car, why a 99 Alero when there's abour 10 bmws and 10 mercedes on my street??

ok, so cause it's easy to break into right?

well, my hood was opened because the alarm system was disabled.

so obviously these guys knew what they were doing.

BUT,

i had just moved to ancaster from stoney creek (20mins away)

i have been living here 3 weeks and only 2 of my buddies knew where my new house is.

and i know it wasn't them. and no one would ever suspect they had anythign to do with it.

what pisses me off the most is I had 17 mp3 cd's in there with all my trance/techno on there?

why would these scumbags want that? cool people don't steal trance music, they download it like everyone else.

surprisingly enough i haven't been pissed off, thrown fits, cried, all the emotions that people usually show in situations like this.

maybe because i have a strong feeling i know who was involved with this whole operation.

just adding things up made me realize there coudl only be one person who i could possibly suspect of this.

you know what i mean when you just know somethign but you can't prove it??

my gut has never been wrong about things.

now i'm just thinking of revenge. i don't want to get my stuff back, it's not that, it's about making someone else feel the kind of pain i'm going through.

anyone know any good revenge techniques that you can't get caught for, i'm athletic and very sneaky, so i can pull it off

anyways thanks to anyone who read this

Dude

that sucks royally. I know exactly what you're going through, I saved for an entire summer working a crappy job, just so I could get a nice bike. The one time I didn't use 2 locks to lock it up, stolen. $1000 gone just like that.

How can you be sure it's someone you know?? Maybe it was just a random heist

if it's just a random hesit. why not take the clothes, & credit cards?

plus there's many other things that lead me to believe that it's not all random.

a new guy started working at my place 1 month ago. he lives in teh same city i just moved to. so we were justtalking about that one day and he was askign whereabouts i moved to blabla. so anyways he knows where i live, he knows my car.

he's all into car audio so we were chatting about that one day and i was asking if he knew places i could get good prices on eqiupment.

not stolen, legal. i have receipts for everythign i got ripped off for.

so anyways he tells me that his buddies grab shit all the time, they have a crew of like 5 guys go in get out in like 10 minutes.

he told me at work 2 days ago that his friend wanted to knwo if i was selling anything, i said no.

anyways, he calls me last night, out of nowhere, and i never gave him my cell phone number. so... thats weird, but he coulda got it from someone at work.

anyways, he was just asking what i was doing, what i was up to that night, and i i could hook up any pot, i said nope. don't know anyone, sorry, then he just said, if you can get any call me back it's really important.

weird eh??

i'm gonna do some investigating at work. but i know he had somethign to do with it. it's all too coincidental

the end.

Thats fucked up man....sorry to hear that. You have to make sure you turn down the volume next time so that people don't hear your system. Its worked for me so far after getting my shit stolen.

Revenge eh? This is what you do. My boy did this to a guy who scratched his truck. Get a hold of some spark plugs or anything that you can get Porcelin from. Break it into pieces. Now you drive by the ******s car and throw the pieces onto the windows. You don't have to throw it hard, just enough to get it to the window. Porcelin is really hard and sharp, it will crack all his windows. Wait a couple of weeks till he replaces the windows and do it again. Good luck!!

Blah, that sucks!

I'm not big on revenge, so I can't offer any tips there, sorry, but I hope things settle out the best way possible.

dayum .. i feel bad for you man. watch your ID's, identity theft can be worse than monetary theft. this kinda stuff can happen to anyone, but that fact that it sounds so co-incidental, i think you should go to the police. and next time around, might be worth getting some insurance for all that stuff .. sounds like you were literally driving a gold mine. anyways, i really hope you're able to get some of your stuff back, or atleast find the culprits. best of luck ..

wow...you have a lot of expensive stuff! Wanna go for a drink sometime?

Seriously, you should get the car printed. If the person who did this knows you, they are stupid enough to think you won't figure out who it was. And if they're that stupid, they probably left a print or two on the car.

Good luck. Keep digging - you'll find something incriminating!

Dunno Who knows?

#1 reason I don't like factory car alarms; useless...

If someone wants in there; they'll get in...
When I get a 1/2 decent car I'll customize it so the damn thing phones me or something

You should probably get that Robocop anti-theft device used in the tv commercial...that'll work!

Re: Who knows?

I'm really sorry to hear that I want to build up a real quality system, but I'm worried about the same thing happening...

I'm sure that people that know what they are doing can get by alarms that page you... you're safer with them, but I wouldn't trust them to protect you from everything.

Personally I wouldn't go the revenge route... try to do some investigating.

It may all end up ok

a friend of mine has a great alarm system that's connected to a remote that he has on his keychain which shows him the status of the car, ie. someone close by, someone touching in, or forced entry. It also comes with an ignition disabler. the remote signal is strong enough to provide a range of about 1.7 km from the car. the only problem is that it's kinda illegal since it operates on some handradio frequency is it not CRTC or FCC approved.
