Review Armin @ the Church

HOO BOY!!!!!!!!!!

What a night kids!!!! As expected it was regular admission, we got there around 11ish, which was perfect, cuz Armin came on bout 15-20 minutes after we got there.

Hot Damn what a set!!!!!!

Mixing was spot on all night, great track selection and flow, he kept the energy up the whole night. He was also quite animated in the booth, jumping up and down, clapping and chanting with the crowd.

I had a sign that said "Frenzy" on it as in Haak - Frenzy (gotta represent TA baby!!) Right before he played his first track I ran around to the DJ booth, climbed up the ladder and showed the sign to Armin. He looked at it, smiled and gave me the thumbs up. About 1:15ish he dropped Frenzy, god damn that tune is fuckin ace in the club!!!!!!

He also played an acapella of Yet Another Day over Tiesto - Suburban Train, (the idea of it sounds terrible imo, but it was fuckin immense)!!!!! He did a coupla of acapella's over tracks, which is something that I hadn't known he did frequently. Another one that I remember was Andain - Summer Calling over Andain - Beautiful Things (Unknown Remix) Pagoda and I have no clue which remix of Beautiful Things this is, the only thing we can figure is that it's Cor Finemans, but its not the Gabriel Tech mix, nor is it the Photon Project remix.

We will have to wait for the TL from Pagoda, he was savin it in his cell phone. I can say that he played, Push - Strange World as his closer, also there was the Marco V remix of Clocks in the mix too.

"I’m a dance floor favorite? Great! I would say the passion that I feel for the music I buy and the honesty with how I play it. I play the records I love not the ones that simply work. I’ve never taken the easy music option (which would make me a lot more money by the way) but chosen to push people a little. I try to draw people in a new direction slightly and expand their taste a little more than other DJ’s." - Lee Burridge

OMG!!! That show blew me away!!! I'v been looking forward to seeing Armin in Denver for so long but I didn't even expect it to be that good!! When he started mixing in some Tiesto and marco v, and he played beautiful things, i almost lost it on the dance floor lol. I also met him and got his autograph after the show, he's a real nice guy. it was funny though because there were like three 18 year old girls trying to make-out with him and he wasn't going for it lol. I can't wait for him to come back, he completely blew me away!! Ok if Armin blew me away this much, how well do you think PVD and Marco will be?? Oh sweet jesus I can't wait!!!!!

TL as in my celly:
M.I.K.E.-Ofra Haza
Mr Sam vs Fred Baker-Forever Waiting-With Andain-Summer Calling accapella looped over it
Andain-Beautiful Things (Me thinks Cor Fijneman's, sure wasn't the Photon remix)
Binary Finary-1998 with an accapella I can't remember over it
Motorcycle-As The Rush Comes (AvB mix)
Electrique Boutique-Heal (Instrumental)
PvD-Time Of Our Lives
Duncan Sheik-On A High-some crazy new mix
Solar Factor-Urban Shakedown
Tiesto-Suburban Train w/ Yet Another Day Accapella
Filo & Peri-Elevation
Haak-Frenzy-as requested by Mindshifter
Coldplay-Clocks (Marco V Bootleg)
Tiesto-Traffic
Encore was Push-Strange World (2000 remake)

I got a pic of my sampler and Armin+myself if anyone wants to host is-my site is quite shite. Blows away any show I've seen, I doubt Ferry or Marco'll top that, I think only Paul can.

i dunno, I think this will be Marcos first time in Denver so maybe he'll kick ass like Armin did. I hope so......After last night I'm so stoked for the PVD and Marco shows.

Marco hasn't been playin as hard of sets of late, hopefully he will turn that around for us, who knows. I don't mind his new style either, so many different styles of edm mixed in, but I miss the old Marco. . .

Ferry will deff be good

But as Andy said, the only one I think that has a chance to top Armin is PVD, we shall see. . . . .

haha nice!!! i dig the beanie. nice pic with Armin. i tryed to talk to him a bit more and tell him i was a TA but there were too many people pushing their way threw asking him tons of questions. I don't think half of the crowd last night even ever heard of Armin before. They loved him though.
