because i'm leaving for dance valley in about 10 minutes! i can already hear the bass at my friend's house, about 20 minutes from the site. the first set we're going to see is armin at 1:30 and then it's nonstop until i don't even know when! so you can direct all of your jealous aggressions toward me WE CANNOT GET ENOUGH!
what's ur affinity with hunter s thompson? i personally think this guy is the modern day stoned version of nietzsche but tha's just me
i just think he's brilliant. i love his honesty and style.
now about dance valley because i'm finally back home: OH MY GOD!! i can't even begin to describe the size and scope of the event, it was absolutely unreal. it sucked because i couldn't see all the djs i wanted to (overlapping times) but it was all just incredible.
marco v played an amazing set and confirmed my utter worship of him. tiesto's set at the close of the event was inhuman, and the lasers shooting across the valley made just surreal.
i really feel like i can't properly explain the day (and some things we just don't need a written record of ) but i'm sure i'll talk about it a lot on saturday at g&d. i'm going to try to put together a more coherent and thoughtful description!

I thought his DanceValley set was 1 of the worst tiesto sets I've ever heard. What was he thinking with that mix into Barber's Adagio, what a wreck. I have a video of his set from DV and even he gave up on that mix lol. As for Marco, he always rocks it, except when the mixer blows

it could have had a lot to do with actually being there, seeing the visuals and the huge crowd. and i'd been partying pretty hard all day so i wouldn't be surprised if my judgment was a little, uh, impaired.

yeah, I actually skipped DV this year mainly because last year was brutal. It rained all day and was about 45 degrees. I got to see some of the djs I wanted but the times overlapped so much. This year I knew who was playing when and the guys I wanted to see were going on early due to late night gigs in other places, so I chose Ibiza this year instead.
