This was mentioned in one of the other threads so I thought I'd share a great program that I use at work all the time...

Spybot - Search and Destroy

After installing be sure to update the definitions (choose your download location) and then run.

Click on the "Search and Destroy" icon on the left and then choose "Check for Problems" at the bottom...

It'll do an initial scan to kill the files and registry enteries.

Once it's done the 1st scan click on "Fix selected problems" at the bottom.

It'll ask if it can run again during the next reboot; select "YES".

Log off (or reboot) and the program will scan again, but this time before the OS loads so that it can catch the popup software (spyware/adware) before it gets a chance to load.

Again "Fix selected problems" once the 2nd scan is done and then end the program.

The OS will continue to boot normally and walla!
(You should notice a big improvement in performance as well).

or use Mozilla! or Ad-Adware Pro or Spy-bot !

I just use the Google Toolbar v2 beta.

Not only do I get kick ass search built into the browser, but the pop killer works perfectly (you can disable it on some sites if you like), and you get a blogger and you get a form filler.

All free baby! Oh, and did I mention that it takes up next to no resources?

Do you find taht it slows yo down at all.

useed to have lots pop-up on my computer when i had kazza or kazza-lite,but i dun have have this problem since i uninstall that crap
