ive just been reading that a few accounts on optus broadband have been suspeneded due to the use of kazaa, now there is some confusion about this people saying optus cant monitor your downloads but apparently the RIAA is logging kazaa and notifying ISP's or somehting along those lines which most likey happened in the guys case:

Now even though the issue has been raised countless times, it's about time someone finally had the balls to stand up and do something about it. Becuase now instead of ISP's pocketing all the revenue for copyright materials that users download, they'll hopefully go into the pockets of people that actually did some hard work.

Currently, ISP's are making revenue through providing a service that lets people distibute and trade music/drugs, whatever.
In theory, they're to blame for allowing it to occur(providing a channel, and making a profit off it), and now the legal sector is seeing a a case where liabiilty can be shifted from the user to the ISP

as if you would download! all you do is rip people off!! bloody pirates.
