Viva
How could I forget about Viva?! Actually, the reason is b/c Viva is in the burbs; regardless Viva is worth checking out. Indeed, I spent last New Year's Eve at Viva. It was totally cool. My only beef was that the party ended too early (6 am).

When you say the clubbing district, where is that in Toronto, and do you know of any good hotels in the area? Thanks for everybody's assistance. We are really looking forward to visiting Toronto.

The clubbing district is centred on Richmond and John (just south of the City TV/Much Music buildings). The Guv is a bit east of the main entertainment district (the theatre district is just west of the clubbing area). There are a few good cheap youth hostels in the area: Spadina Hotel and a few by Hostelling International (one of which is directly behing the Paramount). For actual hotels you may want to try the Sheraton (Richmond and York, just east of the main club district) or the Chelsea on Chestnut St. (which is just north of the Sheraton, beside City Hall). The Holiday Inn on King and Peter is also a good spot. Good luck!
