I'm trying to decide whether to get a finalscratch or a cdj. They both are good and similar in prices.. would love to try final scratch but i'm afriad the installation would be too much a trouble.. What would you choose between the 2?

that would depend (for me) on the following:

- Do I have a laptop or suitable computer (portable enough for my needs) to install final scratch on, or will I need to spend more $ for that?

- Obviously I'll need decks to be able to use final scratch, so am I happy with my turntable / mixer setup?

- If both of the above questions are fine and I don't need to spend more $ on those issues, do I prefer mixing vinyl or cd? If vinyl... go for FS.

The only advantages of CDJ is it's more compact and simple to set up.
