Universal to slash US CD prices

Article Here

Do you think that the lowering of music prices will in any way influence your purchasing of cds?

Just for me it may help me to buy more cds then i usually do, but i think the Itune thing is a great idea.

Unless they start making better music, I won't be buying any CDs for a while... then again, these Global Underground compilations are now a bit more affordable

Hah... I like the second article there. I still won't buy CD's for $13. I can't find many albums (IF ANY) that have all good tracks that are worth paying for.

LOL!!

I think this is a great idea. I still buy lots of music despite downloading. I bought resident transmission, Miguel Migs Nude tempo one, Nyana, Several GU cds and more in the last few months...all because they were on sale. Full price (ie 40-50 bucks for a double disc) is way too expensive.

I actually heard on citypulse that large retailers such as futureshop and HMV already lower there costs by roughly $5 (that's why their CD's are so cheap) They said with a reduced $5 wholesale cost, the can further reduce the cost of these CD's. Some popular CD's that you currently pay $14.98 for at Futureshop may be reduced to $8.88

I dont know about you but this puts some faith back into the music industry
