Trevor Kay - Intergalactic Traffic

Hey guys!

I'm a little hesitant about this one... I was going for some uplifting house .. 80's style - seemed like a tasty idea!!

It may be thick with cheese, but if it weren't for cheese, farts would be a lot less exciting.

Right click & save as:

Trevor Kay - Intergalactic Traffic

Thanks for taking the time to listen. I look forward to any feedback.

ps. I'm not happy with the 'disco lazer' sample that plays on the offbeat @ 2:21 .. if anyone has a better one, it would be greatly appreciated!

The melody in this song is happy like sunshine and i dig it.

I would say the lazer is weak, but you already know that. I love how it goes with the song, but the sound needs to be stronger.

The computer sound is really cool, but comes through a little too distorted, but that could just be my shitty speakers.

Overall, another very cool and different tune. Great job.

the beginning reminds me of some very famous song. But I cant tell which... thats good and me likes! I like the sounds and melody, which are kinky but stylish. The bass and this high "whining" sound is great combination. Your thoughts about lazer sound is correct. I'm a fan until 3.34, there's just something in the melody...reminds of an old 'star control 2' computer game if thats familiar. from that moment me like and dislikes differ to some extent until the end.

from 10 point of wiew I give you 7.

keep it up

super happy fun song

Awesome stuff, fun and light, beaty with some robo-80's sounds. Takes me back to the speak and spell days. Missing one or two more elements, but still great. I know where your trying to go with the cute little laser sound (broken pieces like), nice touch.

Two thumbs upo from Mr. Paco

Well, I don't this compares to A Swim With the Fishes but it is still very professional sounding.

I don't think the lazer thing sounds thaaaat bad, just a tad odd I think. The melody is nice and the sawy bass really accompanies it well. Not sure if its just my crappy speakers but the kick could use some more bass.

Keep it up man, and how about Fishes Part 2?

Caleb

Thanks Caleb! I'll take a closer look at the bass when I get home from work. I spent much more time on Fishes than I did on this guy... took me only a few days to put Intergalactic Traffic together.

I'm working on a new toon right now, which is more similar to A Swim with the Fishes, but it looks like its gonna be a bit deeper and a lil darker. Look for it soon, on a TranceAddict forum near you!
