Actually, if I'm understanding you correctly, this is called migration. The body is essentially rejecting this foreign material that has been introduced, and its only way to do that is to slowly force the object out of the skin. This is much the same as when you have a sliver that you can't get out right away. Eventually, the body will force it towards the surface of the skin (and if left long enough, out of the body). My suggestion would be to take it out immediately. You will save yourself a lot pain later on....take it from a guy that has or has had his eyebrow x2, tongue, and labret all pierced. One of my eyebrow piercings began to migrate after around a month to 6 weeks....
