People with Parkinsons Disease take Es and THEIR doctors who recommended it said it was safe aswell because it actually helps them act normal.

so theirs always 2 versions of a fact.

It's the long term effects that they can't see.

In school they gave us a "Don't Do Drugs" booklet that told you the sideeffects of E's to Marijuana...pretty bad ones i can tell you.

There has been a lot of lies told in the whole "War on Drugs" campaign. They make marijuana out to be evil and destructive never once mentioning the amounts of lives destroyed by alcohol. In the United States a campaign was launched trying to convince people that marijuana sponsors terrorism which is just bollocks because it was mainly european countries that bought hash of the Afghanis, while the US got most of it's produce either from local plantations or from Southern America.

Of course im not trying to say that marijuana or e have no harmful effects im just simply implying that the harmful effects are much more neglegible then what the government would like people to believe. Driving in peak-hour traffic and inhaling carbon monoxide fumes can also be a health hazard as can be many other things however you dont see many pamphlets distributed about those.

I think this issue comes down to the matter of control, the governemnt is aware of the mind expanding properties of these drugs as they help most people to think outside the square, and sometimes the thoughts they have are not beneficial to the ruling class, especially a conservative one such as ours.

It is amazing to see that countries such as the Netherlands can be mature about the drug issue, accept the fact that people always had and always will be using drugs and get on with their lives. And as can be seen from the afore mentioned example such a decision has not hindered their economy in the slightest. So you really can have your cake and eat it too you just can't be a bitch about it.

because these reports are a bullshit and usually boil down to who has enough money to get the medias attention (read: who usually skimped the most on research). Basing drug taking descisions off these reports, while better than listening to a dealer, is still pretty flawed.

i thought it was proven ages ago, that it's not ecstacy that's bad for you, but the stuff they cut it with (ie mcdonald's soft serve ice-cream)

I think your talking about pot here, not E.... pot helps parkinsons sufferers cause it stops their shakes and lets them live there lives normally.... E is a lil different to that, wouldnt you agree...

Theres a lot of shit been written about all the drugs in the world and about how dangerous they are but i still find it incredibly funny that a drug which is KNOWN and GUARANTEED to kill you - TOBACCO is legal, whilst one which is only suspected to harm you (and the evidence is beginning to point towards no permanent damage from Ecstacy) is illegal....

Can someone explain this to me in a way which i wont be able to shoot down in 10 seconds flat???

Ive seen the effects of e on people who take it often and have been doing it for a while, they are very vaugue and def have brain lag!

But hey, too much of ANYTHING is bad for you, that's what too much means!
