DVD players out there that has multi read formats.

to this day, the APEX dvd player is the best dvd player out there if you are into downloading your media and playing it. you can put mp3s, mpeg vids, svcd, cd, and jpegs on the same disc and it will read and play all of them.

i was looking to buy a higher end one about 100 bucks or more but can't find one that does the same thing the apex does so well for being so cheap too.

problems are that some of them will read only jpegs and mp3s but not mpegs and vcds and svcds. some of them requires the cdrom to be only jpegs or mp3s or mpegs or vcds and so on. catch my drift??

anyways there has to be others out there. i'm sick and tired of returing the player over and over and not finding a good one that the apex dvd player does.

Why not take a disc into a store with you and try it out in the players in the store?

I don't care much for the whole multifunction dvd player thing. I have a Sony that I got for Xmas in 1998 and it has given me no problems watching movies (which is what I do on there anyway).

it's tricky getting a decent multivision dvd player.

You've got couple options; buy something like a top notch panasonic ( which make the "best" dvd players ) or go with another lower brand name but one that's famous for real high quality.

I purchased for christmas a CyberHome 500 something model number at Best buy and you could get these for a while a radio shack but they're not really there anymore. Well let me tell you this dvd player is great! Paid 55 bucks for it svideo output tos optical component separate audio( left right back and sub on there too ) and the features of it are great and I could multizone it super easilly.
Daewoo is also a good pick for a player to multi zone.

One thing I might suggest you to do seeing you already have a dvd player and already want an extra one, don't go and spend tons of money on it. It's primarly for multi zoning then again you can use it for all your stuff. But I'd suggest do the same as me.
I have that cyberhome as my "best" dvd player ( I used to have a panasonic and well not much difference appart from the zoning and fact you had more control on the pana with the dvd player user menus and default settings etc ). And also some shitty Apex dvd player as my standby. Both of them get used. But it's just I value one player more then the other.

Just to make things short don't bother getting an expensive dvd player it's pretty much pointless. Spend your money on good speakers and stuff like that if you don't already.

cheers

( I'm starting to become a little freak with dvds I got about 50 of them with tons more I plan on getting ( yeah I know that's not huge but I've only been buying them for about a year max ) and I also have a video projector which I normally use for vjing but install on occasion at home to do my real home cinema )

this is a good place to shop supposedly ( some friends have over there in the past ) http://www.welectronics.com/dvd/index.shtml
