Ok I have narrowed it down 2 the following 2 monitor speakers.

http://www.alesis.com/products/m1active/

&

http://www.8thstreet.com/product.as...gory=Monitoring

Which do you guys think I should get? This is for producing as well as DJing. If anyone rejects both these speakers please tell me why cause I dont wanna order em and then regret it.

I would go with Alesis M1, Behringer doesn't provide enough specifications on their amplifiers... I'm sure you want to know your distortion level...

Alesis, specificationwise look good, but watch out, the distortion was measured at 30W not at rated 75, so god knows how they will play on higher volumes, when power approaches its maximum rated. But still, from what they say, .. good speakers.

I had the Alesis monitors as my #1 choice so i guess I will go with those. The loudness isnt really a problem since this is being done in my room and I dont wanna piss my dad off. One last question.. can I do mixing on these speakers with my turntables or are they only for producing?
