Ok, I've seen several guys here who ask to judge their demo, by sending a part of it, or giving a link to mp3.com (paradise of non-labelled music...) to their demo's. Ok, nice they want to do that and share their music, but...You know lots of people send their demo CD or tape to record companies. What if a fool decides to burn a demo from another guy (e.g. downloaded from mp3.com) on CD, and run with it to a record company? And what if the record company decides to release it, even it's not the work of the fool? (ok, about sending your demo CD or tapes to record companies, see thread 'The hard endless way to be succesfull, also in this forum). Or once a company decides to release a demo, have the guy to get his equipment to their record studio? Ok, I'm totally a layman in this, so who can help me out of this? Cause I gave a demo CD to a DJ that will promote my work on a festival. I know I can trust the guy, but what if it would be a guy that runs to a company and says it's his work?
