Find your hosts file,
in Windows XP it is C: \WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
in Windows 2000 it is C: \WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
I'm not sure what it is in 98/ME/95.
Now open the file with Notepad.
Add these four lines to the very bottom of the file:

oki new problem lol. Man i love slsk. since this new fix came out, soulseek seems to be crashing my system. the comp starts to slow with the more search windows i have open, then if i am multi tasking the system will freaze then it will say low on system resourses, and i can shut down many things but only soulseek seems to make a difference. and also if i press control alt-del, it shows soulseek as not working.
Its really to bad this thing isn't more stable, cause its really the only place i can find anything i want.

Soulseek eats resources like no tomorrow, so just try running it and one or two other apps @ a time only.
Best of luck!

and for those who are blessed like me to have a P4 with the HT technology and Win XP, be sure to run soulseek in windows 98 compatibility mode so it doesn't crash!
but that won't resolve the memory leak problem, I have a GIG of RAM and it crashes, stupid programmes [/programmer talking]
