I'm using a 19" 1280x1024 screen now, I stand about 2 feet in front of it when DJ'ing and it works good, but anything smaller and I'd have to move closer to read text on the screen (but then again, I'm a little near-sighted, so... ) 17" might be ok but forget 15" screens! |
See i was kind of thinking the same thing but then thought about all the people using laptops. None of them are using anything bigger than a 17" screen..
I'm a little restricted with space so a 19" isn't really an option. Plus i think it's a little overkill. Reason being i don't want a big monitor beside my set up.
Another point. And i appreciate all your comments but i'm just throwing this out there..
Since i've gotten SSL, I've become aware that you can begin to stare at the monitor WAY too much! Eg. You're starting to depend on the thrills and bonuses of SSL, being able to see the WAVE form, the elignment thingy along the top (although it is a little crude)..
My point is, i'm trying not to really look at the screen that much as i don't want to depend on visual beatmatching, rather i'm still trying to train my ears.. Dunno if that's stupid.
That's why i was considering getting a small black 15" monitor which wont stick out like mad, but will let me see the track name and well that's all i really need isn't it? SSL doesn't seem to be graphics heavy to me..
