Brainwashed (mucho mix)
Not that imporessed with the mucho mix of brainwashed. God knows i love the club mix, so damn catchy and funky. Soon as i heard it i knew it would be an instant hit and dare i say it bigger than lonliness given time and airplay.
However muchos style is slowing starting to sound stale, people are starting to associate each mix he does with the last and thats not good. Its all very well having a distinctive sound but to use the same formula over and over again is no good.
i think the beats on this have more drive and a better kick and sound off them, however its his forumla of those synths that lets it down and the vocal doesnt sit well in the track anyway i think.
Still el jules will play it, and everyone will think he's a god for doing so, which means other dj's have to play it too to keep the punters happy and keep them shouting " jules plays that one ! "
Time to get the 30 somethings outta radio 1 so some decnet music can be given a chance, playing this drivel does no one favours apart from brainwashing them into liking it
