TA Global Gathering - is it doable?

So, I was thinking about what someone just said in the PvD thread for Nov 14 at Roxy. Last year WAS huge. I saw all the pics and I was there...but I wasn't a TA yet. I joined right after. I was always dismayed that I missed out on such a huge gathering.

So...question is....it is possible anymore to get something like that going? Or have too many core TAs grown apart and away from the scene to be able to help bring us together? The Summerstage Meetup didn't work too well.

This is just a brainstorm.. and maybe the 14th is a crappy date. Maybe we should try a different event. I am just wondering. It would be fun to get a REAL gathering happening.

Regardless, I will try and pull in a few people from here and there.

Being that 90% of us are PvD whores, I think a meet up for PvD at Roxy would work, people just have to stop being lazy and actually meet up. The central park meet up was a mess... although we eventually met up with everyone in the front

I would like a meetup similar to the one that occurred for Nu-NRG at Arc, only prob with that was, half the people that said they would be there, didnt show...

Any hoo... Im down for anything...

i definitely believe it can be done. just recently we had a pretty decent sized meet up with a lot of NYTAs for Ferry Corsten. so for paul van dyk, everyones favourite DJ, it should be even easier. what we need to do is set something up like last year at sbarro's. no matter how hard anyone tries, it cant be beat. restaurants get too confusing and not everyone likes te food. a place where you go get your own food and pay for it first is better and a lot less confusing. so let it be heard: all TAs, save money, steal money, sell your cars and come on down to Paul van Dyk Live at the Roxy. bring a friend... bring two friends! just make sure you get your bootay's over here!...... if not, then i guess just us NYTAs will have to enjoy ourselves.

yup, pvd is probably when you're most likely to have the most TA's coming out

do like the ezdreamers, and just name a time to meet at the bar in the back
Or maybe just meet in front of the DJ booth. most of the TA's will be planted there the whole night anyways.

does anyone remember the old clubplanet meetups in 2001, that were in lounges or restaurants? those were pretty phat.

I agree that people are lazy about it or busy, every person ends up doing there own thing in regards to meetups. Still a good idea though because some people will follow the plans. The more the merrier. PVD@Roxy, will be my first time at Roxy.

Yes its doable. The meetup me and Mat did in November worked so well was due the the large amount of outsiders (outside nyc) ta's that came down for roxy. We had people from CA, To, Qz, Tx, Dc, Fl, Maine, Boston, etc. Somone should make some respective posts on diffrent boards and in the chill out room to see who is planning on coming already. The next factor to this equation is having a hard core turn oou from our own members. There are about 50 to 60 Ny area Ta's alone. I think I am going to go to this one at roxy.

Brianna get back to me on the outsiders coming. Like I stated above, if there are enough of them I can get some of the lazy bums in nyc to make it out also

Number to beat count = 90
