i have a set of str8-80s. i like them, even though they have a straight arm. they are better for scratching than mixing, but they are great tables nonetheless and do the job for mixing. i recommend them, but i gotta say that 700 euros is a bit much. i got both for $550 a few years ago.. unless the mixer is worth alot, tell your brother to go for it. also check ebay for a better deal.

exactly...if your bro can't afford techs, then go with these...otherwise, stay away..the techs are much better!
(i upgraded from mine only 8 months after getting them!)

I would spend the little bit more for str8-90s, str8-100s, or st-100s (curved tonearm)

They're soooo much better than the 80s at not that much more of a price. (btw I got two str8-100s, one was a floor model, for $400+shipping TOTAL on ebay)

well the deal is this. my bro wants to get decks, he's never djed before and thought he was getting a good deal on these. but maybehe should be going for a different make/model and getting it through ebay or something?

he's primarily getting them for mixing trance

he should maybe try the Numark TT200s they are cheaper than the stantons and are supposedly a very good deck for the price!
