Headphones in Australia (esp. Perth)

Hey I was wondering what headphones that you guys have purchased IN australia (not ordered online from overseas), how much they are, and what they are like in terms of practicability, durability, and sound? Not just your most recent, most expensive ones, but all the ones you've had over ur DJin' lives I myself am looking for a cheap pair of headphones, that won't break in a few weeks/months (I did a post in the "headphones" section on the sony mdr-v250's, and yeah .. their apparently junk ) Any comments will be greatly appreciated!

I had a pair of Sony mdr v250s and suited my bedroom just fine. I didnt mind them one bit. The padding around the ears came loose after 6 months of so. But they were still under warranty, so i took them back and got a new pair, these new ones have been fine. Really light and comfy. If your looking for a cheap pair of headphones i would recommend these. You can get them from tandy/dick smith/myer/where ever really.

Now i have a pair of Pioneer HDJ1000s. The V250s are used for my computer now. The HDJ1000s are obviously heavier, and not as comfy, but sound a lot better. Havent been using them for all that long so im not sure what else to tell you about them. I got these from the dj factory for $240 about a month ago.

I got my Technics RPDJ-1210's for $300 in a local lightsounds. They're bloody brilliant.
Used, abused and tested @ Home Nightclub by Moi
Used, Abused and tested @ Gas Nightclub by Cam

And both report cards came home with flying colours.

But generally expect to pay between $200-$400 for top notch cans.

HD25s rock, got a mate to bring them back from Singapore, paid $305 instead of $400 odd here ($470 RRP). If you can, try and find some overseas and get them shipped here. You'll definitely save money on it.

I actaully use Phillips HP890s. They are technically monitors, but are home theater headphones, sound is awsome, got a 50mm speaker in each ear, and love them to bits. Done know how well they would be for playing out though, cause of the cushy velvet that feels soo nice, it also cancells like 90% of noise out.
