maybe i don't get the ad or maybe it wasn't touching in a homosexual way but isn't it offensive and it represents women in a very negative way?
maybe that bitch that complained about the kiss poster get her ass in TO and see these posters in numerous subways and trains.
NOW: here is the REAL truth why Ilya's lab was picked on.
Science and Engineering (specially eng) has been known to be a boy subject. It has the reputation that it's a susage fest and unfortunatly some times a few morons give the general puplic that impression. A few years back when one of the anti data rape campaings took place (No means No campaign), a certain group of engineers of university x (i forogt what univ) decided to mock it by saying "No means more beer" and "No means a kick in the teeth." While some found it funny, others found it really serious. A few years later 14 female engineering university students where shot in Quebec (source for this fact was taken from the article written in this week's Eyeopener, Ryerson's newspaper)
Therefore, having said all that, Waterloo, being the univ. that it is, decided to take no chances and take that action. It has nothing to do with that bitch (IMHO). Actually i think if it was a guy complainging, they would have just laughed at him. The fact it was a girl complaining changed the whole story.
