starscape reviews?

i didnt see any tas. i was all over the place saturday. i didnt really like any of the music so i was rotating between the buzz tent, the dnb tent and the stage by the graffiti wall in like half hour intervals all night. i was really impressed by the artism of the event and the people. i saw some great dancing and costumes. i didnt really feel any of the djs i heard but i still had fun dancing. the sight of that pier was kinda weird.

how did you guys like it? how was it compared to last year?

Being the trance and house fan that I am, I wasn't impressed by the music either. To be honest though, I wasn't expecting to be. I found that they were spinning the best sets down by the beach on the very left edge of the park. I heard quite a few tracks that really had me going. Unfortunatley, that area was probably THE WORST place in the park as far as dancing is concerned. The ground was a sloped sand and gravel mixture that had larger stones sporadically laid about. I danced pretty hard, fell on my ass twice but just got back up and continued to dance. I didn't really care, I just wanted to have fun!

I also roamed about a good bit of the time, venturing from tent to tent. I caught a little bit of Green Velvet, a little Jimmy Van M, and then Scott Henry's set at the very end. Everyone loves Scott. He's just such a nice guy and he certainly knows how to work the crowd.

I managed to strike up a few conversations as I took a nice breather. I wound up sitting on the wall along the edge of the water for about an hour, and in that time I talked to two girls from Philly, a guy and his girlfriend from North Carolina, and then a group of New Yorkers. The dude from NC was a trance-head and expressed the same yearning as I did.

It was just nice to be a part of such a well planned, well orchestrated event.

The vibe was second to none!

I was there. Spent most of the night sitting on the watter near the small tent playing funky house, and a bit of time near the hip-hop stage. I totally forgot about Green Velvet, but I'll live I think.

Haha, that's right about where I was for a couple of hours. I enjoyed that tent, with live percussion and a nice DJ setup... I was groovin'! I also enjoyed the other setup further down the beach on the left as you faced the water.

You probably saw someone I know who was dancing behind the projection screen, casting his image on it by dancing in front of the projector. I almost got in on that action but I'm enough of a dance whore as it is so I decided to lay low.

i don't know where the picnic areas were but oh well... I was with Beema's neighbor... the bunny girl... DUDE!!!-LOVE YA!!! bunnygirl and I had by far one of the most amazing nights!!! We just danced the whole night... i didnt' stop... we were tent hopping most of the night.. more or less because it was HOT.. we were by the grafiti wall whenever we wanted to cool off..

Gosh I dont' even know where to begin! I don't think I've ever clicked dancing wise so well with people as I did that night!! Bunny girl and I were in circles around each other.. all over the place yet together and in sinc... JUST AMAZING.. and i just didn't stop dancing... didnt really matter where we were or what tent.. just had fun dancing..

Was watching some really great dancers by the grafiti wall... hehe... a few were just in the corner dancing and one cute asain dude started to stop as people left.. and bunny girl and I were watching him intently.. and I was like.. "don't stop, I'm still watching!" (puppy eyed look) I'm PRESSED to watch good dancing!! And this other guy Jimmy i believe his name was.. we'd love to hang out with him again - white guy wearing a light gray sweat suit if anyone here knows him.. he was awesome and he said he hadn't danced in over a year---cute white boy never lost his style!! And the friends who invited me -P-TAH---I MISSED YOU!!! TREMENDOUSLY - - -10 cuz of the dancing (and you know I never 10) --- Dave::You knew you were in trouble when I saw you dancing in my basement for my birthday.. ALWAYS your fan!!

I seriously just didn't stop dancing.. we went to the after party -- i danced in the car all the way there, then danced till 11:30 and then came home.. dancing in the car all the way home and at home... didn't actually sit down till 5:30 but that was only for like 10min.. cuz we had the after after party at my house.. OH MY GOD!!! then the AFTER THE AFTER THE Day AFTER party danced again last night.... had some people over that were there and found out they live in my neighborhood... AWESOME!! - k this is day 4 since starscape i think?? and I have only sleep 4 hours total since starscape.. and I'm still awake??weird!!--lol but i'm happy!! tooo happy... oh and got rid of my good for nothing roommate!!

---to the boys!!! ---- thanks a million and a half!! For asking me to come!! BEEMA -- AGAIN!! dude you picked an awesome match having bunnygirl and I go together.. we just clicked and had too much fun!!

I also caught about 20 minutes of Jimmy Van M before I had to leave the Buzz tent. It was sooooo damn hot in there it was hard to take. I finally figured out that it was good to be dancing where that little (wannabe) cryogenifex thingy was, as it cooled you down big-time with it's cloud of coolness!

Everyone I talked to seemed to have a great time despite the fact that the music wasn't all there.

yeah i was at starscape. i didn't know any TAs that were going. the beach had to be the best place to dance (except for the rocks), the hiphop/scratch area was great because of the break dancers, the buzz tent wasn't all that great except for at closing, but what i liked most of all had to be the dnb tent .. the MC really got the place going.

lol omg!!! i HATED that mc. i thought he was so obnoxious and i wanted to throw things at him. he completely ruining some otherwise quality sets. i love dnb but i could only stay in that tent like 20 minutes at a time before he'd start yelling make some noise again.
