flying with a battle coffin

Howdy, can someone give me advice about flying with my tables in a road case coffin? The last time I tried it the platters came off and crashed around. Is there a special way to pack'em?

Much thanks.

dont they have the foam thing that secures the platter? i would suggest packing a couple of tshirts to make sure that the platter os secure or just taing out the platter and putting it underneath the turntable and then packing it with tshirts or something like that...

i havent had any experience so sorry

yeah, holy shit was right...
so Jade, the light dawns in my feeble brain. does this mean dustcovers are meant to be packed separately?

definitely... most good cases have these round foam things that are attached to the lid that secures the platter when you close the lid.

thats ok for a car ride but for a flight baggage handler throuwing things around i woudlnt want the platter to get out of balance so i would perhaps pack them seperately and carry them on... but i donno i wouldnt really fly with them period to be honest

but either way, leave your dustcovers at home : )
