I know this will probably sound like a newb question...

Could someone explain the details about club sound systems? Obviously they're created and installed in a much different way than consumer-level stereo systems. What i'm asking is what companies make the best sound systems, what defines a good sound system, how much they cost etc etc. Just some general details?
