Kasey's spent time in the UK in the past, and he's played at Bedrock (might've even had an international residency there or something?) and appeared on Kiss 100 with Diggers, so he knows the ropes there, and I'd suggest that's where he's heading now (following in the footsteps of one Mr. Pappa). I don't think it's a case of "outgrowing the Australian scene", just a case of satisfying the need that all people have to expand their horizons.

It'll be sad to see him go, but I hope he can make a name for himself while he's over there (he's certainly got a distinct enough style to succeed). I can remember thinking at GK, when he was playing to a room with about 40 people in, that we didn't really deserve him - definitely took him too much for granted. While the internationals would always steal the limelight, Kasey - more talented than most of them - was too often relegated to the job of "warm-up" or "closing" DJ, something he's far too good for. As the old saying goes, "you don't know what you've got till it's gone" and it's gonna be sad to no longer have the chance to see him play every other week both at clubs and big events. Best of luck though Kasey, hopefully I'll be able to make it down to Seven to hear your last set as a bona fide Melbournian. No matter how big a superstar you become, I'll always remember you as the short, funny-looking guy who came up to me in the Goods Shed during the balmy summer of 2001/2002 and shook my hand, even though, at the time, I didn't have the slightest fucking idea who you were.

Kasey's GK closing set and Dave Seaman closing set
(with Sean as Our House) is two of my most memorable closing set
this year. It was close to 7am and he can still make me dance like
it's still 2am ) It's shame to let him go ...

but definitely will be there for his Goodbye set at Seven on
Summadayze afterparty and show some support... legs or no legs!!!

Well I was planning on going to Summadayze anyway, so I reckon I could quite easily end up venturing to Seven later on.....

Does depend largely on the state of my hangover from the night before though. :-/

I've only seen him once which was earlier this year and i agree with renegade that it will probably be a case of not realising how good he was until he leaves. I don't think I'll ever forget how happy he was to sign my copy of balance002. Best of luck to him i say.

Seen many a set from the man Mr. Taylor over the years and he is definately one talent. I can see why he's moving, Australia is just too far away from the rest of the 'scene' to make any substantial impact. So, as it is a shame to see him go, I guess it'll be good cuz he'll be able to build himself overseas and carve out a big name for himself. Good on him, hope it all goes well.

Ha, soon we'll be paying thrice what we're paying now to see him play. Its all good.
