Sampler/Drum Machine

Guys, I'm after a hardware sampler/drum machine. I want it to have the 16 pads as well so i can trigger each note on/off. Apart from the mpc2000xl which is just out of my price range, do you have any suggestions.

That's about $1500 Australian which is exactly my price range.

Looks pretty decent too. Thanks.

Yeah, the yamahas both look good but I need something with the 16 pads, like on redrum, tr-909, etc, and prefereably something I can load my samples into, rather than record.

The MPC1000 has a USB loading system (drag and drop) which looks really cool.

The Su700 has 4 banks of pads. Each bank has 10 tracks. 8 of which are velocity sensitive. They are not aftertouch sensitive though. Really a good box for the price.

I had a look at the Su700. It only has 8 pads. I need one pad for each 16th note so I can lay down my perc and stuff. Its for making techno, so that is really a necessity.

No MPC1000s in Oz yet by the look of it, so i guess i'll have to wait.

If your writing techno then you need to look at the SU700 again.
