I prefer the KP2 personally, better sounding, easier in use and more versatile (midi capability allows you to use it as a XY pad in production also).
Best with the Xone:62 (got one too, excellent choice ) is to use the aux output, and return the output of the KP2 on channel 1 or 2 of your Xone.

Then what output would you use to run into your amp?

Oh my god, it doesn't have an FX loop? That is harsh!
I wanted one of those babies for so long, but without an FX loop I've changed my mind!

Why the master output of the Xone of course. You could also run the KP2 between the Xone output and the amp (in direct mode) but that's less flexible (you only can apply effects on the master output). If you feed the KP2 from the Aux send, and return it to a channel, you can do more than that (just open the aux of the channel you want an effect on), effect apart channels, the whole master output, or even give only effect (without even hearing the source track)...

And uxud, I know it seems weird not to have an FX loop (my first mixer had one, cool). Then when I got my Xone I had to get used to the "regular" aux system for dj'ing.
You see, the Xone uses the much used studio method. You have an aux send (even switchable post or pre), and you return the wet signal on a free channel (and channel 1 and 2 are perfect for that). It needs some time to get used to it, but it's way more flexible than an FX loop.

I guess I'm confused. I'm looking at a picture of the connectors on the Allen-Heath website. It looks like the Aux out is the master out. Do you use the Midi outputs as your master?

Howwww, hold on, MIDI doesn't carry any audio signal...

No, the Xone:62 has a stereo aux output (on TRS jacks), this goes to the line in of the KP2 (on RCA connectors). You'll need convertor cables for that. The output of the KP2 (line out on RCA connectors) goes to an input of the Xone (I recommend either channel 1 or 2 as those aren't considered music channels like the 4 others), on TRS inputs or RCA inputs, depending on the channel you return to (ch 1&2 have TRS line ins, the others RCA). The XLR master output of the Xone goes to your amp...
