V.S. something like the HD 280 or the MDR V700, sound quality wise

yeah there's not too much to it. Im not sure if its mono or if its just 1 cup of a pair of headphones (cut in half). I personally only use 1 earphone too. Thing is I use both of my hands when I mix, so holding the stick would seriously affect my mixing. Ive seen Sony make them, a MDRV700 cup on a stick, looked odd to me.

It just seemed like it would be a good choice cause with regular headphones you always have one cup on and the other is basicly useless, once you get the hang of it.. I mean I hardly ever put both cups on while im mixing so I can hear the live track. The stick is kind of curved so it comfortable I guess .. so I take it nobody tried it.

the dj with the one headphone on and one off is the classic look. i would laugh if i saw a dj that was only using 1 headphone cup. but thats just me. i guess if it saves money it is not a bad idea. i would still prob end up using my 2 cup headphones in public.

Dave Clarke uses single cup headphones sometimes.
Visible in the vid "Dave Clarke - Live @ Impulz", looks kinda cool.
