I saw this program about snow boarders yesterday or daybefore (UK Terrestrial) and as the backing music there was a kind of drum and bass, but it wasn't really, it was kind of chilled out and relaxed music that just happened to have drums in it, and bass in it, i've got no better way to describe it, any suggestions welcome, the music seems to create a late night relaxed atmosphere and I really want some for occasional listening.

Drum n bass is usually associated with snowboarding...goes very well with it for some reason. Anyway, what you were hearing is what I call ambient drum n bass. It's drum n bass...but not as hard as it usually is...instead, it's got some kind of ambient/trancey synths over the drums. Hard to describe though. This can be heard on Paul Oakenfold - GU 002 - Live in Oslo (Disc 1)...if you can get your hands on this...you'll probably hear what you were hearing during the snowboarding show. Hope this helps
