I usually consider myself a VC guy cuz im kinda close(and its the closest area forum) but those days..well Ill be Djing a 2000 person Event in Fort MacMurray Alberta. So I havent seen whats up then..sorry..try the Vancouver area forum too!

If you are going to make the trek to vancouver I would select going to a party in victoria (90 minute ferry ride from Vancouver). Victoria is a tranceaddict's heaven. Esp. if one can make to any outdoor party. It is definitly an experience not to be missed and it is one of the few partying experience I miss now that I am in Germany...

WTF are you talking about? The trance scene in Victoria pretty much sucks... too much Progressive House masquerading as trance. Altho, I heard some good tech-trance at the last "trance" party I went to, but Progressive/Uplifting/Epic trance is basically non-existant in Victoria and Vancouver Island.

As far as parties go, one of the biggest parties of the summer is on August 4th near Vancouver (probably in Chilliwack). I don't know if you'll still be here, but it's called Apex Project and it will probably have over 10 stages (not many big names tho, mostly all of BCs best locals). July 31st to August 3rd is during the week, so you'll be hard pressed to find anything. Maybe a good club night in Vancouver. I don't know.

Hmmmm. Man I dont know WTF your talking about. I live in Vancouver and I work in the scene here and I can tell you that when it comes to Trance or even partys in general Vancouver is FAAAAAR better. The islan may have gotten Sasha and Digweed but that was a long time ago and I can tell you that chances are the island wont ever have a party that big again. Vancouver Gets amazing talent like: Agnelli & Nelson, Olmen Heads, Seb Fontaine, Paul Van Dyk, Oakenfold, Timo Maas, Nigel Dawson, Daren Emerson, Steve Lawler, Dave Seamen, Tim Lyell. I can name hella more if you want. The Vancouver scene is dying though....slowly but surely.

Please remember I have not been in Victoria for a while now (almost 5 months) so I have no idea what is going on.. I only wrote that with my experiences and last year (2000 fall) was pretty intersting as far as trance goes (Evolution) and the summer of 2000 pretty much kicked ass...
