its cause a lot of the sounds he uses are on the same level, including the beat which make them clash really easily.


id like them if they had a not-so-soft-and-fuzzy kick

i thought gothica had cool elements, especially the move from the soft kick to the hard like 30 secs in or so.

His old stuff was good (Legato, Electra, Optica) plus the even older Digital Blondes stuff but now it just sounds dated. Which is a shame because, whether by bad sound engineering or what, his 2003 mix of Noctone in particular is a quite nice dark trancer which could be so much better with a cleaner sound.
