Big Ears Should I go see John Digweed?

Hola,
So Digweed is gonna play in San Juan on Halloween . I haven't heard any recent (2003) sets by him and it's not easy for me to download any. So what do ya think? What's he been playing lately? Would you go? (for $25 )

Sure, why not? He played here about a year ago and although I couldn't see that show, I heard he was pretty good...

I would, I've seen him once for a 4 hr set and once with sasha.

He gets slagged for playing deep boring prog house but most of that is the uk sets. I saw him live and he must have played about 6 different styles and some other styles that have not been invented. What a guy, nice as heck to run into before and after his sets but don't bother him during his sets. Seriously he rocks and hopefully he brings the style that makes him famous where he plays different styles not the boring prog house he plays on kissfm.

go for it. digweed is nothing short a turntable master. i don't so much agree with his taste in music....both times i saw him it was with sasha and on the most part i like what sasha plays better. it seems to me that digweed works more on grooves instead of emotion in building his set. but he's definitely worth seeing, there aren't many as good.

I don't know which Kiss sets you are listening to but all his recent weekly shows have been nothing short of amazing.

Without a thought, yes. Digweed is probably one of the most consistent DJs who will rock a party.

this shouldnt be a question

go!

I've been wanting to see Digweed live for such a long time.
i can see how many people think his kiss100 sets are boring, but i love them. they are very deep and moving. you just gotta know how to get into it.
first time i ever heard any mix by Digweed was his Los Angeles GU, and i couldnt stand listening to it.
only after some time passed and i started to get into the more mellow dark prog did i really get to understand his style. Now his GU Los Angeles, along with his MMII are some of my favorite mix comps.

I wouldn't, but then again I don't like Digweed.

If you like him, and I guess you do, then you should go and see him.
