I fried my motherboard :|

Ok heres the story that happened last weekend, Saturday morning at 6.15am , Im hungover and dreaming of some crap, my Doorbell ring's , It woke me up , it rang again, im like WTF who the hell is this at 6.15am ? twatz its my day 0ff , anyways it the postman he has my new AMD Athlon CPU, im overwhelmed with joy as i love recieving parcels, i rush back up stars ' like a boy with his first porno mag ' , opened the cpu case up, to see a brand new chip with golden pins im o my gawd i wanna put it in my PC, i went into the comp room and started to strip down my current PC, which i hate as i hate electrical components as you have to respect them coz they just break if u want em to, i hadda take my whole motherboard out as i could not get the CPU metal Strap off the motherboard, i almost made a hole in my motherboard with a screw driver. 30 mins later the new chip is in and i have rebuilt everything, I press the On button and prey and wait for the XP Logon..............WTF.........Nothing ??? it wont even power on .....Grrrrrrr..I Was so pissed off, anyways i fuked around for 2 hours, trying everything removing memory, ide cables..still nothing. I rang this techie pro guy he told me to pull out everything and just put on the cpu and heatsink and fireit up without the motherboard in the case. i was like ok ! I had everything out , turned it on and still nothing, i tried putting a 256 DDR Mem Slot in, Switch On ! WTF , something is burning , omfg i have just fried my motherboard i, noticed that the DDR memory had slipped out , I was gonna cry in shame I could not belive it. No PC , No Motherboard No more tiesto Mp3's, I then hadda go into my fukin loft and dig out my ancient old pc to try the CPU , as i might have toasted that, another hour later i realised it was a different socket type, So i went out and bought a new motherboard, got it home and built everything back up, double checking everything IDE Cables , Connectors etc. Switch On. Ahh it working but theres no Monitor. After another few hours i still had no monitor or keyboard. I thought fuk this im gonna take it to a pro, so i unscrewed my Hard Disk drive the one full of Porn , took it to this dude, he said ill ring u later, 2 hours later he told me that the CMOS needed to be cleared by either taking out the Battery or with the Jumpers , he charged me £36 Kunt !! Got my baby home and plugged in my keyboard mouse , USB etc , turn on, Still no monitor, i did what he said and it did work, but now My PC wont boot down proper ?? As you can understand im pissed off. !!!

Little word of advise , double check everything before you power on !

HAHA!

you don't have an A7N8X, by any chance? it's known to have bios issuess and that's why it won't boot - taking it out of the case won't help (that's if it was short circuiting on the case)

Ouch man, that sux big time, I treat my computer with the utmost respect in that, I avoid touching it, once in a while I open it up to clean out dust and I make sure that I gently handle the parts. The last thing you want is for your comp. to crap out unless you are moneybags and can buy a new one with no sweat. Computers can be a pain in the arse, without reason sometimes, the key is to not get frustrated and break something on it.

i consider myself computer savy . . . .but starting yesterday, i noticed the temp in my box rising and now its at 100 F!!! Usually, the temp runs up to about 74 F max so i dunno wtf is goin on. I have 4 fans in it blowin out air and all of them are working as well as the power supply fan and the video card fan. So i stuck my hand in the case and everything is cool in there. . . weird.

The temp sensors on motherboards are pretty dubious at giving accurate readings on some models & discrepancies of +/- 10 degrees is commonplace.

You should have some fans sucking air in btw.
