I am trying to connect headphones so I can hear the left and right channels separately, so I can cue up a track on one deck while a song is playing on the other.
I only have one sound card so I dont know if i would need another or i would need some other component.
Please Help??????

yeah, you need 2 sound cards, well i duno if you could plug it into line 1, but you'd only get sound out of one ear, so i think 2 sound cards is the best way to do it, besides getting a pair of TTs ;D

If your soundcard has front and rear outputs you can set it up for headphones easily.
In the setup Audio menu, all you have to do is assign the rear channels to monitor and your all set. Just plug your headphones into the rear output.
If your card is only a 2 channel i would suggest that you go out and buy a really cheap second soundcard to use as the monitor. You don't really superb fidelity for your monitor if you are doing bedroom mixing.
