A new genre?-> "bassline trance"?

We have always known there are many sub-genre's of trance (hard, psy, tech, epic, goa, melodic, vocal, euro, etc)

But I have yet to be satified with my personal sound as a genre. I want to see a "bassline trance" or "hard-electro-tech-trance" sound emerge. These tracks are out there, and they come out less frequent than others, but let me try to describe this sound to you:

The melody of the song (the part you're humming in your head) is usually a higer-end synth in most trance tracks. But you run across songs that have a bassline-only melody. Similar to drum&bass, the bassline does not end. But rather than sophisticated breaks on top of this bassline, there is a trance structure, buildups, explosive finale's and so on. During a trip to London last year, I went to a gatecrasher party, and one of the opening DJ's was playing this sound, track after track!!! Then he ended before I knew who he was. But it goes to show, there is enough of this "bassline trance" sound to fill a set.

My question is this: do you think there is enough of this new sound out there to be an emerging trance sub-genre??? Also, who are producers/dj's that you've heard produce/remix/spin bassline trance tracks like this?

The closest know DJ I could name would be Tomcraft, but his basslines a distinctly 80's influenced. The influence that I describe (and long for) I believe gets it's bass influences more from the drum and bass realm and 80's synths...

What do you think?

Hahhaa... you guys crack me up.

The REASON we need a NEW style (or even a hypothetical genre) is so that I can ask people about this new sound without saying "continuous bassline-melody, D&B-influenced, hard tech-electro-trance sound that is floating around out there without a name...

All I want to do is get some names or ideas floating around. That's what this is all about, right? New ideas? Isn't that the reason we're all here in the first place, 'cause somebody started talking about some new style of music based upon some other style and it emerged as acid-house, then electro, acid-house, trance, d&b, breaks, harstyle, gabber, et. etc...

All genre's emerged somewhere, and all I'm trying to do is stir up the creative minds in here.

Just because somebody's status says "Tranceaddict in training", it doesnt mean that they dont know what they're talking about, it just means that they haven't posted much. So he may very well be onto something there.
